Congressman Arthur Yap leads Congressional Delegation on Educational Tour in Singapore

Congressman Arthur C. Yap, 3rd District Bohol and Chair of the House Economic Affairs Committee, led a delegation of the House of Representative to an educational tour in Singapore on 19-22 April 2017. The group was on the second leg of its two-country trip that also included Malaysia. Congressman Yap was accompanied by Congressman Cesar Sarmiento (Chair, Transportation Committee/Member Economic Affairs Committee), Congressman Jose Panganiban Jr. (Chair, Committee on Agriculture), Congressman Jesus Xavier Romualdo (Vice-Chair, Trade and Industry Committee) and Ms. Jannalenna Sheng Olladas (Secretary, Economic Affairs Committee). While in Singapore, the group visited the headquarters of YCH, a logistics and supply-chain company, and had briefings with officials of the Singapore Government Investment Corporation (GIC), Asia-Pacific Real Estate Association (APREA) and the Monetary Authority of Singapore (MAS). The group also had a PayPal tour on the Fintech Incubation Program at Suntec City. Former Secretary of Finance Jose Isidro Camacho joined the meeting at MAS. Philippine Ambassador to Singapore Antonio A. Morales and officers of the Philippine Embassy had a fruitful discussion with the delegation at the official residence on 21 April 2017.
