PHL Embassy Officials grace HOME Academy 12th Graduation Ceremony

16 January 2017. Officials of the Philippine Embassy in Singapore headed by Philippine Ambassador to Singapore Antonio A. Morales attended the 12th Graduation Ceremony of HOME Academy Skills Training Program at the United World College-East in the Tampines area in Singapore. On 8 January, Welfare Officer Rosanna Siray represented the Embassy in the distribution of certificates to the first half of graduates who have successfully completed their training. On Sunday, 15 January, Ambassador Morales was joined by Labor Attache Ramon Pastrana, Consul Mersole J. Mellejor and Vice Consul Laarni Zorayda Gandarosa in congratulating the second batch of graduates. The Skills Training Program is managed by the Singapore-based Humanitarian Assistance for Migration Economics (HOME), one of the many charitable organizations that work for the welfare of foreign domestic workers in Singapore. Ambassador Morales congratulated the candidates for successfully completing their courses with the HOME Academy noting that it opens new possibilities for them to an even brighter future if and when they decide to go back home for good. He mentioned that their positive contributions to society are recognized by both the Philippines and Singapore. He also thanked HOME for being a partner of the Philippine Embassy in promoting the welfare of overseas workers.
