It has come to the attention of the Philippine Embassy that the Facebook page “Lending ph-63” is using the names and official seals of the Philippine Embassy, the Philippine Overseas Labor Office (POLO), the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC), and other Philippine government agencies. We wish to inform the public that this Facebook page is NOT connected, in any way, with the Philippine Embassy or the Migrant Workers Office (MWO), formerly POLO.
Further, the Embassy neither endorses nor engages in any lending activities.
We strongly urge the public to be vigilant of individuals engaging in unscrupulous activities and claim to have connections with the Philippine Embassy and its attached agencies.
The Philippine Embassy warns all individuals or entities that the unauthorized use and misuse of the Embassy’s name, logo, stamp and other corporate branding is punishable by law.
The public is enjoined to report any suspicious and malicious use of the Philippine Embassy and its attached agencies’ name, trademark and logo in social media sites and other platforms. (END)
