PRESS RELEASE

PR-008-2023

16 January 2023, Singapore – Textures, an annual literary festival that celebrates Singapore literature (SingLit), was held from 6 to 15 January 2023, in conjunction with the Light to Night (L2N) Festival, and as part of the Singapore Art Week (SAW). After two years of bringing local literary arts to Singapore’s heartlands, Textures 2023 returned home to where it first began, the home of Singapore’s literary arts, The Arts House (TAH).

Part of the festival was a 2-night run on 13 and 14 January 2023 of a multilingual poetry calligraphy show on the theme “Re-turning”, featuring four (4) renowned local poets Tan Chee Lay, K. Kanagaatha, Azhar Ibrahim, and Filipino author Eric Tinsay Valles, with virtuoso musical accompaniment by Filipino musician Aemilio Enginco. The event was organized by  the Arts House Limited.
