(26 May 2023, Singapore) Philippine Ambassador to Singapore H.E. Medardo G. Macaraig received H.E. Daniel Antonio Rosa, Non-Resident Ambassador of the Republic of Angola to the Philippines with residence in Singapore, during the latter’s courtesy call on 25 May 2023 at the Philippine Embassy.
During the courtesy call, both Ambassadors said that they look forward to the strengthening of cooperation between the Philippines and Angola in key areas including agriculture, fisheries, people-to-people exchanges, trade and oil exploration. They also welcomed the signing in December 2022 of the Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) on Bilateral Political Consultations between the Philippines and Angola, the first ever MOU concluded between the two countries, which will provide the foundation for joint efforts in addressing matters of mutual concern.
Ambassador Macaraig also extended his congratulations to his Angolan counterpart on the occasion of Africa Day 2023, which is commemorated every 25th May. (END).
