Post-arrival Orientation Seminar (PAOS) conducted for newly-arrived Filipino HSWs in Singapore

27 July 2015. The Philippine Embassy in Singapore through the Philippine Overseas Labour Office (POLO) conducted its regular Post-arrival Orientation Seminar (PAOS) for newly-arrived Filipino household service workers (HSWs) on Sunday, 26 July 2015 at the public area of the Philippine chancery along Nassim Road, Singapore. During the PAOS, officials of the Philippine Embassy and its attached agencies, namely, POLO, PHL Trade and Investment Centre, Office of the Defense and Armed Forces Attaché, provide orientation to the participants on their respective services that are available for them as well tips and advice on how they could adapt to the local situation with the end view of helping them have a comfortable and productive stay in Singapore. The PAOS, which is organized by the POLO under the leadership of Labor Attaché Ramon Tionloc Jr., is undertaken once every two months. The next PAOS will be held in September 2015. A total of 197 HWS participants from around Singapore came to attend the seminar.
