22 October 2018 – Ambassador Joseph Del Mar Yap made a courtesy call on Minister of Environment and Water Resources Masagos Zulkifli last 19 October at the Ministry of the Environment and Water Resources Building.
Mr. Masagos is also concurrently the Minister-in-Charge of Muslim Affairs.
Both sides discussed possible cooperation on environment and climate action, halal industry, and madrasah education, especially in the context of the 50th anniversary of Philippines-Singapore relations next year.
With the recent signing of the Bangsamoro Organic Law (BOL) by President Duterte, Minister Masagos also invited a peace delegation from the Philippines comprising of the various stakeholders of the BOL to a study visit of Singapore as a model for multi-culturalism.
Ambassador Yap was accompanied during the call by Consul General Victorio Mario M. Dimagiba, Jr. and First Secretary Gonaranao B. Musor.
