Pursuant to Proclamation No. 361 (2000), as amended by Administrative Order No. 35 (2002), the Philippine Embassy in Singapore led the observance of the 39th National Disability Prevention and Rehabilitation (NDPR) Week with the theme “Karapatan Pribelehiyo ng Maykapansanan: Isakatuparan at Ipaglaban” with a simple program on 17 July 2017. Ambassador Antonio A. Morales spearheaded the observance, which included a recitation of the NDPR Commitment Week (Loyalty Pledge of an Advocate on the Rights of PWDs) led by Mr. Ronaldo N. Jacob. This was followed by an NCDA video entitled “Inclusion”.  This year’s NDPR celebration focuses on the realization of the fundamental freedoms and rights of persons with disabilities as provided for in existing international mandates and national laws.
