PH EMBASSY, COMELEC OPEN OVERSEAS ONLINE VOTING IN SINGAPORE

Philippine Ambassador to Singapore Medardo G. Macaraig and Commission on Elections (COMELEC) Commissioner Maria Norina Tangaro-Casingal officially launched the Overseas Online Voting period in Singapore this morning at the Philippine Embassy. The event, attended by Embassy personnel and COMELEC officials, was live streamed on the Embassy’s Facebook page.

30 DAYS OVERSEAS VOTING OFFICIALLY OPENS

The 30-day Philippine overseas online voting period officially opens today, 13 April 2025. Enrolled registered overseas voters in Singapore may now cast their e-ballots through the official voting portal ov.comelec.gov.ph/vote (copy and paste the link to a new browser window) or through phinsg.com/votenow, or by scanning the QR code below.

The overseas voting period will end on 12 May 2025 at 7:00 PM.

PH EMBASSY: ALL SET FOR ONLINE VOTING, CONDUCTS FINAL CHECKS IN PREPARATION FOR START OF OVERSEAS ELECTIONS ON 13 APRIL

The Philippine Embassy in Singapore on Friday, 11 April, conducted the Final Lockdown and Sealing (FLS) of the Online Voting and Counting System (OVCS) in preparation for the start of overseas online voting on Sunday, 13 April 2025 at 8:00 AM.

The FLS confirmed that the OVCS to be used for online voting is still inactive and uninitialized, and free of any votes prior to the start of the official overseas voting period. The official digital ballots can only be accessed by all pre-enrolled voters starting from 13 April at 8:00 AM.

Fernandez, who will be leaving for Pakistan on 22 March 2025 to assume his new assignment as Ambassador-designate of the Republic of the Philippines to the Republic of Pakistan with concurrent jurisdiction over Afghanistan.

PHILIPPINES OUT OF FATF GREY LIST

During the final plenary session of the Financial Action Task Force (FATF) in Paris, France on 19-21 February 2025, the FATF Plenary announced the removal of the Philippines in the grey list and congratulated the Philippines for the positive progress in addressing the strategic anti-money laundering and countering the financing of terrorism and proliferation financing (AML/CFT/CPF) deficiencies previously identified during evaluations. The Philippines has completed its Action Plan to resolve the identified strategic deficiencies within agreed timeframes and will no longer be subject to the FATF’s increased monitoring process.
