PH VACCINATION ROLLOUT REACHED 100 MILLION MARK

(4 January 2021, Singapore) – Before the year 2021 ended, the Philippine Government’s national vaccination rollout as of 28 December 2021 has administered a total of 107,277,506 vaccine doses, which includes first and second doses.

The country’s daily rate of doses (7-day average of 611,768 doses) administered is among the fastest globally (13th rank), in Asia (9th rank), and in ASEAN (3rd rank, after Indonesia and Vietnam).

The Philippines now ranks 18th out of 205 countries in terms of total doses administered. There are 60,917,790 administered first doses accounting for 55.3% of total population and a total of 48,647,158 Filipinos have been fully vaccinated (44.1% of total population). In addition, the Philippines has also administered 1,614,505 booster doses (1.5% of total population).

The vaccines currently being administered in the Philippines include Sinovac (CoronaVac), AstraZeneca, Gamaleya (Sputnik V), Pfizer/BioNTech, Moderna, Johnson & Johnson (Janssen), and Sinopharm.

Data on vaccine administration is from the Department of Health while data on global ranking is from consolidated Foreign Service Posts’ reports and Bloomberg.
