The Philippine Embassy invites everyone to the 15th edition of Art Trek (Art Trek 15) which will be held on 22 September until 8 December 2023. Art Trek 15 features 19 talented Filipino artists in collaboration with four (4) prominent galleries in Singapore. Exhibition schedules can be found here (phinsg.com/PR-109-2023).

Since its inception in 2007, Art Trek has showcased the works of over 200 Filipino artists in Singapore.

This initiative has symbolized the deep-rooted cultural and artistic connections between Philippines and Singapore making it the centerpiece of the Embassy’s cultural diplomacy program.

Tuwing Agosto, ating ipinagdiriwang ang Buwan ng Wikang Pambansa at ngayong taon, ang tema ng nasabing pagdiriwang ay “Filipino at mga Katutubong Wika: Wika ng Kapayapaan, Seguridad, at Ingklusibong Pagpapatupad ng Katarungang Panlipunan.”

The Philippines celebrates 2023 International Humanitarian Law (IHL) Day on 12 August 2023.

 This year’s theme: “IHL:Gabay sa Makataong Pagsulong ng Kapayapaan”, emphasizes the ongoing and vital role of IHL in fostering peace and safeguarding the rights and dignity of individuals affected by armed conflict.

This year’s celebration highlights the Philippines’ continuing commitment to Peace, Security, and Excellence, as embodied in Republic Acts 9851, 10530, and 11188.

The Philippine Embassy in Singapore is pleased to inform our kababayans that the Philippine Government, through the Bureau of the Treasury (BTr), is set to launch an onshore Retail Dollar Bond (RDB 2) issuance. This bond offering will be another key component of the government’s savings mobilization program designed to make government securities accessible to retail investors.

In line with this launch, BTr will hold an online special financial literacy seminar on OPENING A US DOLLAR ACCOUNT AND PURCHASING THE RETAIL DOLLAR BONDS 2 on 23 April 2023 (SGT), Sunday, at 10:00 a.m.

The session will cover the features of the RDB 2, available investment platforms that investors can use to invest easily and safely, and steps on how to transfer their US Dollar funds through our partner banks’ remittance centers.

The Philippine Embassy in Singapore invites everyone to participate virtually in the event entitled “Legacy and Statement: Weaving Stanzas, Weaves in Stanzas” – a poetry-reading activity on 21 March 2023 for at 1:00 pm (Philippine
Standard time).

It will serve as the culminating event of the ongoing exhibit on the life and works of Senator Geronima Tomelden-Pecson (the first woman Senator of the Philippines and the first female member of the UNESCO Executive Board) and will feature the following guest experts/artists (initial list): Ms. Heidi Mendoza Ms. Marites R. Rogado (Makata) and Ms. Romalyn Borja Aniceto (Interpretative Dance) Dr. Melchor E. Orpilla Pangasinan State University – Bayambang Campus Ms. Virginia J. Pasalo Commissioner Pangasinan Historical and Cultural Commission

2023 National Health Insurance Month

The Philippine Embassy in Singapore joins the nation in the celebration of the National health Insurance Month this February and the 28th Anniversary of the PhilippineHealth Insurance Corporation (PhilHeatlth) on 14 February 2023. This year’s theme is “Pinalawak at mga Bagong Benepisyo para sa Mamamayang Filipino”.

PhiiHealth has been a steady pillar of the government and our people with regards to attaining complete and comprehensive healthcare.
