SINGAPORE, 8 April 2026 – Seven (7) dynamic Philippine startups are set to make their mark at GITEX AI Asia 2026, taking place on 9-10 April 2026 at the Sands Expo and Convention Center, Marina Bay Sands.
Showcasing through the Philippine Pavilion, the delegation will highlight the country’s growing expertise in technology across diverse sectors, including education, sustainability, smart cities, property technology, AI-driven enterprise solutions, and Internet of Things (Iot)-enabled agriculture.
Funded and assisted by the Philippine Department of Science and Technology – Technology Application and Promotion Institute (DOST-TAPI), the delegation paid a courtesy call on Chargé d’Affaires and Consul General Joyleen E. Santos at the Philippine Embassy on 7 April 2026. CDA Santos provided high-level insights on Singapore’s startup ecosystem and offered guidance to the group ahead of their participation in Asia’s premier tech event.
Leading the delegation is Atty. Marion Ivy D. Decena, Director of DOST-TAPI, the agency driving the promotion of commercialization of locally developed technologies. The delegation will join over 20,000 tech leaders, enterprises, startups and investors from more than 110 countries at GITEX, Asia’s largest technology and startup event, which will explore digital transformation in areas such as AI, agritech, climate tech, and others.
The Embassy is pleased to highlight the outstanding Philippine startups that will be showcasing cutting-edge solutions at GITEX AI Asia Singapore 2026:
- WEHLO – A P15M DOST-funded 24/7 localized weather, environment, and hydromet monitoring system from Mapúa University, providing precise forecasts and warnings for LGUs/DRRMOs, and adhering to WMO/PAGASA standards for disaster resilience.
- Farmesto Technologies Inc., A system for greenhouses that uses IoT sensors to automatically manage watering, feeding, and climate control, helping farmers grow crops more efficiently, cut down on waste, and promote sustainable rooftop
- GreenVisions – An AI-driven farm management and monitoring system acting as a “hospital for farms,” offering rapid soil diagnostics, treatments, continuous monitoring, and waste-to-fertilizer solutions for healthier, sustainable agriculture.
- Cerebro Plus – Integrated K-12 school management and content library platform with 4K+ curriculum-aligned digital lessons, reducing teacher prep by 400 hours/year; achieved USD 400K revenue in 3 years with DOST grants and 20+ school implementations.
- GradeChum – Cebu-based EdTech AI assistant automating handwritten exam grading (essays/problem-solving), ensuring consistent feedback, saving teacher time; founded by a Magna Cum Laude engineer, also behind the CodeChum programming platform.
- DUON Wayfinding – The Philippines’ first real-time indoor navigation app with “blue-dot” precision for malls and airports (e.g., SM Megamall/Changi), plus geomarketing and foot traffic analytics for optimized user engagement.
- Collo PH – Cloud-based AI property management platform modernizing rentals with end-to-end automation (tenant acquisition, billing, docs, predictive insights); serves 9K+ units from Ayala/SM/Megaworld.
To further support DOST’s efforts in assisting Filipino startups, the Embassy, through the Philippine Trade and Investment Center (PTIC)-Singapore, organized a briefing for the delegation which aimed to equip the innovators with actionable insights on Singapore’s proof-driven startup ecosystem.
