SINGAPORE, 16 June 2026 – Philippine Ambassador to Singapore Medardo G. Macaraig witnessed the exchange of the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between Singapore’s Infrastructure Asia (InfraAsia) and Public-Private Partnership (PPP) Center of the Philippines, reaffirming their collaboration to advance infrastructure development in the Philippines.

The renewed MoU underscores continued cooperation in capacity building, policy formulation, project development, and market sounding sessions for priority projects in the Philippines.

The MoU Exchange Ceremony was among the highlights of the opening of the Asia Infrastructure Forum (AIF) held this morning at Suntec Singapore Convention and Exhibition Centre.

Taking place from 16 to 17 June 2026, the AIF is the foremost platform for infrastructure leaders and stakeholders to discuss the future of infrastructure, sustainable financing, technological innovation and cross-border collaboration. This year’s theme is “Bold Actions for a Sustainable Asia”, reflects the urgency of collective efforts toward resilient and inclusive growth.

AIF is co-organized by Infrastructure Asia, Ministry of Finance of Singapore, Enterprise Singapore and Monetary Authority of Singapore, with World Bank Group as Strategic Partner.

The PPP Center of the Philippines serves as the country’s central agency for coordinating and monitoring the said Program, facilitating the implementation of projects nationwide. 

Since 2019, Infrastructure Asia has supported the PPP Center by sharing knowledge and international best practices on capacity building, policy formulation, and project development. This partnership has helped build a pipeline of projects in key sectors such as transport, healthcare, water supply, waste management, renewable energy, and green buildings, among others.  /END
