President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. made a phone call today with Singapore Prime Minister Lawrence Wong to convey the Philippines’ heartfelt appreciation for the Singapore Government’s assistance during Typhoon Kristine.

President Marcos said Singapore’s prompt response made a significant difference for many Filipinos in hardest-hit areas.

“We discussed sustaining this partnership—from humanitarian aid to tackling climate challenges—all within the framework of ASEAN cooperation,” the President added.

“The Philippines sends our heartfelt gratitude, and we look forward to deepening our ties and creating even more ways to support each other across the region”, the President further added.

This year, the Philippines and Singapore commemorate the 55th anniversary of diplomatic relations. The Philippines looks forward to further strengthening our cooperation with Singapore at the bilateral, regional and multilateral level. /END
