09 May 2025, Singapore – Philippine Ambassador to Singapore Medardo G. Macaraig joined the Philippine delegation to the 14th International Maritime Defense Exhibition and Conference (IMDEX) Asia, which ran from 06 to 08 May 2025 at the Changi Exhibition Center.

Participants to this year’s IMDEX included 56 VIP delegations from 35 nations, including Navy chiefs and Coast Guard directors, along with 230 exhibitors from 26 countries. The event showcased 14 ships from 12 countries.

Officially opening the event was Senior Minister of State for Defense, Mr. Zaqy Mohamad, who noted the importance of IMDEX in highlighting the growing importance of maritime security amidst global conflicts and evolving threats, as well as in facilitating dialogue on pressing maritime issues.

The Philippine delegation was composed of senior officials from the Philippine Navy, led by Vice Admiral Jose Ma Ambrosio Q. Ezpeleta PN, Flag-Officer-In-Command; the Philippine Coast Guard, and the Philippine Embassy. (END)
