Filipino athlete Carlos Yulo made another historic win after claiming the top spot in the Artistic Gymnastics Men’s Vault of the 2024 Paris Olympics on Sunday, 4 August 2024. Yulo’s stellar performance achieved a score of 15.116 in the men’s vault finals.

On Saturday, 3 August, he won the top spot in the men’s artistic gymnastics individual floor exercise. This is the Philippines’ second gold medal in the Paris Olympics.

Here’s the rundown of Carlos Yulo’s achievement at the Summer Olympics:

• First Filipino Athlete to win two gold medals in the Olympics;
• First Filipino Athlete to win two gold medals in a single Olympic;
• First Olympic medal for the Philippines in Artistic Gymnastics; and 
• First male Philippine athlete to win an olympic gold  medal.
