SINGAPORE, 3 September 2025 – The Philippine Embassy in Singapore congratulates the Philippine Red Cross (PRC) for being conferred with the Friend of Singapore Red Cross Award (FSRCA) during the Awarding Ceremony held this afternoon at the HomeTeamNS Khatib Ballroom, Singapore. 

The prestigious award was presented by Guest-of-Honor and Singapore President Tharman Shanmugaratnam, Patron of the Singapore Red Cross, and was received by Philippine Ambassador to Singapore Medardo G. Macaraig, on behalf of the PRC.

The FSRCA is awarded to an individual, group, or organization that has contributed financial or other resources to further the cause of the Singapore Red Cross.

The Philippine Red Cross and the Singapore Red Cross are long-standing partners, working hand-in-hand in providing humanitarian assistance and disaster relief operations, including in repatriating kababayans in Singapore requiring medical attention.

The annual Awards Ceremony recognizes and honors the steadfast contributions of Singapore Red Cross’ partners, donors and volunteers, whose time and dedication has greatly advanced the humanitarian mission of the organization. /END
