SINGAPORE, 6 April 2026 – The Philippine Embassy is pleased to share the article published by London-based international magazine Monocle, a well-known global affairs and lifestyle magazine brand, featuring the Embassy of the Republic of the Philippines in Singapore as among the best foreign embassies for its “Good Embassies Guide” April 2026 issue. The Embassy notes that it is the only diplomatic mission from Asia in the list. 

The new Philippine Chancery at 20 Nassim Road, inaugurated on 20 October 2025, was selected as “Best Embassy Upgrade”. The Philippines joins seven (7) other foreign diplomatic missions across Europe, Asia, Americas and Africa in this April issue. 

Below are the highlights of the list: 

1. Best embassy for soft power promotion – Italian Embassy in London
2. Best food – Embassy of Peru in Washington DC
3. Best use of historic building – Embassy of Brazil in Rome
4. Best shared embassy – The Nordics in Berlin which houses the diplomatic missions of  Denmark, Iceland, Finland, Norway and Sweden)

5. Best embassy upgrade – Embassy of the Philippines in Singapore
6. Best nod to local traditions – Swiss Embassy in Seoul
7. Best interiors – Embassy of Norway in Stockholm 
8. Best architecture – Embassy of The Netherlands in Addis Ababa

The Embassy is honored for the recognition given to the newly-redeveloped Philippine Chancery, more so by a foreign media. Our Chancery, which serves as a strong testament to the enduring friendship between the Philippines and Singapore, continues to bring honor and pride to every Filipino around the world. Mabuhay!
