SINGAPORE, 28 April 2025 – The Philippine Embassy extends its warmest welcome to Ms. Agnes L. Pabalan, Assistant Labor Attaché (ALA) of the Migrant Workers Office (MWO) – Singapore, who arrived in Singapore on Sunday, 27 April 2025.
ALA Pabalan joins MWO-Singapore, led by Labor Attaché Ms. Haney Lynn G. Siclot, in providing labor-related services to Filipinos in Singapore. She replaces former ALA turned MWO Officer-in-Charge Atty. Eduard C. Ferrer, who has taken on a new assignment as Labor Attaché to MWO-Doha in October 2024.
Prior to her assignment in Singapore, Ms. Pabalan was assigned to the Agarang Kalinga at Saklolo para sa mga OFWs na Nangangailangan (AKSYON) Unit of the Department of Migrant Workers’ (DMW) which provides welfare assistance to distressed Overseas Filipino Workers. She was also previously assigned as Administrative Staff at the MWO (formerly Philippine Overseas Labor Office) in Muscat, Oman from August 2019 to December 2022.
ALA Pabalan is not new to Singapore. She was part of the augmentation team deployed to the MWO-Singapore from 16 November 2024 to 15 December 2024 to assist the Philippine Embassy in the implementation of its Assistance-to-Nationals (ATN) services for OFWs.
The Philippine Embassy continues to work hand-in-hand with MWO-Singapore in providing assistance and promoting the rights and welfare of our Filipino migrant workers in Singapore. /END
