PRESS RELEASE | PR-143-2024

19 November 2024, Singapore – The Philippine Embassy in Singapore, in collaboration with KJEM and J&J Digital Marketing, proudly presented Art Play, a unique event under the Philippine Art Trek banner. Held on 10 November 2024 at Crane @ Claymore Connect, Art Play gathered over 171 members of the Filipino community in Singapore to share and celebrate Philippine culture through diverse artistic and creative expressions.

The second edition of “Art Trek for Kids” featured various creative forms, workshops and fun activities designed to inspire a love of the arts not only exclusive to the young ones but also with the young at heart. The activities included typewritten poetry by Ashley Muñoz; painted bottles and handbags by Jasmin Orosa; children’s book Wilma Needs New Shoes by Dardanelleis Balisi-Lizaso; Filipino textiles, clothing, and home decor by Maison Inabel and Filshopper; dance performances by GForce and TTSG Dancers from Center for Domestic Employees (CDE); and embroidery art by the Migrant Writers Singapore.

As a supporter of this cultural initiative, the Philippine brand and Food Trek partner, Yellow Cab, provided culinary support; while the Filipino-owned school Perpetual Hope International Academy (PHIA) showcased their Filipino students’ talents through music and short films.  Other partners included LBC, Western Union, Salad Master, and USANA, which collectively enriched the experience for attendees and reinforced the importance of cultural pride and unity within the Filipino community.

Founded in 2019, KJEM Brilliant Kidz is dedicated to creating a holistic learning environment aimed at nurturing young minds, fostering lifelong skills, and inspiring children to pursue their passions while J&J Digital Marketing, started in 2022, provides digital marketing services with a focus on social media content creation, as well as branding workshops to support businesses in building their identities.

Art Play was more than just an event; it was a vibrant gathering of Filipino community members and supporters who came together to celebrate the Philippines’ rich cultural heritage and its artistic contributions in Singapore. END
