The Philippine Embassy visited @STPI  for the  “Pacita Abad: Common Ground” Exhibition which runs from 25 October to 13 December. 

Pacita Abad is one of the Philippines’ most celebrated and revered artists. Among her most  iconic contributions is the painted Alkaff Bridge at Robertson Quay in Singapore, a kaleidoscope of color that has since become a cherished symbol of the enduring friendship between the Philippines and Singapore. 

Check out her creative journey in Singapore during her 2003 residency in STPI which includes her pioneering trapunto paintings (textured canvases that combine painting, stitching, and textile art).
