Ninoy Aquino is an important figure in Philippine history. He began his political career at an early age of 22 as Mayor, and later Vice Governor and Governor of Concepcion, Tarlac. He became one of the youngest senators in Philippine history at the age of 34. Ninoy Aquino is known for his nationalistic ideals.

In a letter to his son, former President Noynoy Aquino, he wrote the following message:

“There is no greater nation on earth than our Motherland. No greater people than our own. Serve them with all your heart, with all your might and with all your strength.”

As civil servants, the Philippine Embassy in Singapore and its attached agencies, remain committed to its mandate of protecting and promoting the Philippine interests in the global community, including the welfare of our kababayans overseas.
