The Philippine Embassy, together with the Filipino Community in Singapore, conveys its warmest felicitations to the Singapore Government and to our Singaporean brothers and sisters on the occasion of their 59th National Day today, 9 August 2024.
This year’s National Day theme “Together, As One United People”, captures the essence of Singapore’s strength, solidarity and unity as a nation.
The Philippines values Singapore as a close neighbor and fellow founding member of the ASEAN. Our deep and multifaceted engagement with Singapore encompasses a diverse range of cooperation, from trade and investment to defense and security, cultural and people-to-people ties.
This year marks our 55 years of enduring and long-standing relations. We have always had a strong, robust, and dynamic relationship marked by several high-level visits. Next week, Singapore President Tharman Shanmugaratnam will be visiting the Philippines for a State Visit. The Philippines will continue to work hand-in-hand with Singapore to achieve our common goals and aspirations.
