• The 50th anniversary of the Philippine Commission on Women (PCW)
• The 30th anniversary of the Beijing Platform for Action
• The 45th year since the Philippines signed the Convention on the Elimination of All Forms of Discrimination Against Women (CEDAW)
• 30 years since the introduction of the Gender and Development (GAD) budget policy
