SINGAPORE, 27 October 2025 – The Philippine Embassy visited Gajah Gallery on 25 October for the launch of the “Leslie de Chavez: A Kiss on the Ground (Halik sa Lupa)” Exhibition, which runs from 25 October to 30 November 2025.
Leslie de Chavez is an acclaimed contemporary artist from Manila whose works explore themes of colonial legacy, religion, identity, and invites dialogue about how the past continues to shape the Filipino consciousness today.
During the exclusive preview on 25 October, Ambassador Macaraig met National Artist for Visual Arts Benedict “BenCab” Cabrera, who was also invited by Gajah Gallery as an invited guest.
