PRESS RELEASE | PR-106-2026
SINGAPORE, 10 April 2026 — The Philippine Embassy in Singapore hosted a Filipino Food Month luncheon today, 10 April 2026, spotlighting Lechon Diva Dedet de la Fuente, in partnership with Red House Seafood at Grand Copthorne Hotel as part of its 50th anniversary celebrations. The luncheon brought together members of the diplomatic corps, culinary professionals, and Filipino food enthusiasts for a cross-cultural dining experience.
The Lechon Diva of Manila’s Pepita’s Kitchen, in Singapore for this collaboration with Red House Seafood, presented her signature whole-roast lechon with aromatic stuffing as the highlight of the menu. Known for her sold-out pop-ups in Singapore — including with Makansutra, Cross Cultures and Horse’s Mouth — she engaged guests with insights into lechon traditions and her degustación-style approach to Filipino dining.
In his opening remarks, Philippine Ambassador Medardo G. Macaraig emphasized that Filipino Food Month underscores the Philippines’ rich culinary heritage and the role of gastronomy within its creative industries. He also praised the partnership with Red House Seafood, whose Nanyang-style heritage complements the bold, festive spirit of Filipino cuisine.
The collaboration with Red House Seafood marks another restaurant partnership of the Embassy in Singapore in celebration of Filipino Food Month this year. A separate Filipino Food Month event was also held on 9 April at Feast Asia, featuring an expansive buffet showcase of Filipino cuisine favorites.
The Embassy expresses its appreciation to Red House Seafood and to Lechon Diva Dedet de la Fuente for bringing Filipino flavours to Singapore diners during this special collaboration, available until 30 April 2026 at Red House Seafood, Grand Copthorne.
