SINGAPORE, 20 August 2026 – Philippine Ambassador to Singapore Medardo G. Macaraig welcomed Jollibee Singapore Country Business Head Butch G. Nape and his team during a courtesy call at the Philippine Embassy on 18 August 2026.

The meeting highlighted Jollibee’s continued growth in Singapore and its longstanding partnership with the Embassy in promoting Filipino cuisine, culture, and community engagement.

Jollibee, which opened its first Singapore outlet at Lucky Plaza in 2013, has since expanded its presence to 25 outlets across the island to date. The homegrown Filipino brand has also gained recognition in the Singapore market, ranking first in the Fast Food Restaurant Chains category of Singapore’s Best Customer Service 2025/2026, a survey conducted by The Straits Times and Statista. The nationwide survey was based on more than 100,000 evaluations from over 10,000 respondents.

During the meeting, Ambassador Macaraig also presented the Embassy’s digital publication entitled “Flavors of Diplomacy: The Philippine Food Guide in the Lion City”. Launched in June 2026, the guide showcases the growing presence of Filipino cuisine, restaurants, food businesses, and entrepreneurs in Singapore.

Jollibee is among the establishments featured in Flavors of Diplomacy and has supported Embassy initiatives promoting Philippine cuisine. Most recently, Jollibee participated in the Embassy’s 2026 Independence Day Diplomatic Reception, joining other Singapore-based Filipino food establishments in showcasing Filipino flavors to Singapore government officials, members of the diplomatic corps, and other guests.

The Embassy expressed appreciation for Jollibee Singapore’s continued support and looked forward to further collaboration in promoting Filipino food, businesses, and brands in Singapore. The partnership contributes to the Embassy’s broader efforts to use food diplomacy as a platform for cultural exchange, economic promotion, and stronger people-to-people ties between the Philippines and Singapore./END
