SINGAPORE, 20 November 2025 – Indonesian Ambassador to Singapore H.E. Suryo Pratomo, made a farewell call on Philippine Ambassador to Singapore H.E. Medardo G. Macaraig at the latter’s official residence on 19 November 2025.
During the visit, Ambassador Pratomo expressed his heartfelt gratitude for the warm support and camaraderie he received throughout his tenure in Singapore. In response, Ambassador Macaraig conveyed his appreciation for Ambassador Pratomo’s leadership, particularly his role in furthering the cooperation and camaraderie between the Philippine and Indonesian missions in Singapore.
Both ambassadors expressed optimism for continued collaboration and emphasized the importance of unity within ASEAN, particularly in addressing regional challenges and fostering cooperation among member states.
In a gesture of goodwill, the two ambassadors exchanged books; Ambassador Pratomo presented his memoir, entitled “Call Me Tommy,” while Ambassador Macaraig presented the Philippine Embassy in Singapore’s own project, titled “Making a Mark on the Little Red Dot: Trailblazing Filipino Entrepreneurs in Singapore.”
Ambassador Pratomo will commemorate his five-year tour of duty as Indonesia’s top diplomat to Singapore on 24 November 2025. (END)
