This Museum and Galleries Month (MGM), we enjoin our kababayans in Singapore to take part in this celebration by exploring the many museums and galleries across Singapore.
The National Museum of Singapore offers FREE admission to all migrant workers with work permits on the last Sundays of every month beginning October 2025 until September 2026 in conjunction with its celebratory SG60 exhibition Once Upon a Tide.
Check out the National Museum of Singapore’s special exhibition entitled Once Upon a Tide: Singapore’s Journey from Settlement to Global City which resonates with this year’s MGM theme “Resilient Museums and Galleries Educating for Preparedness and Recovery”.
This special exhibition also has an interactive “Thank You” Corner at the Basement where postcards are available for visitors to write notes of appreciation to migrant workers in Singapore. These postcards feature a curated selection of photographs taken by migrant workers, including five (5) photos taken by Filipino migrant workers, who were shortlisted for past editions of the Migrant Workers’ Photography Festival from 2019 to 2024.
To redeem your free admission to permanent galleries, please present your work permit at the Visitor Services Counter.
We invite you to share your museum visits and discoveries with us! If you come across Filipino artworks or exhibitions in Singapore, take a photo and tag us on social media. Your stories and photos can help inspire others to explore and celebrate our shared cultural heritage.
