Singapore, 26 August 2026 — Filipino singer-songwriter Timothy Dionela, known professionally as Dionela, paid a courtesy call on Philippine Ambassador to Singapore Medardo G. Macaraig at the Embassy’s Sentro Rizal Singapore on 26 August 2026, ahead of his upcoming concert in Singapore.

Dionela will headline “DIONELA: The Promise Tour Singapore,” on 2 September 2026 at The Capitol Theatre. He will be joined by fellow Filipino artists John Roa, Rangel, and FYNE. The Singapore show forms part of his international tour, which also includes stops in Taiwan and Japan. 

During the meeting, Ambassador Macaraig welcomed Dionela and his team and congratulated him on the growing popularity of his music in the Philippines and overseas. They discussed the increasing reach of contemporary Filipino music and the important role of Filipino artists in showcasing the country’s creativity and talent to international audiences.

Known for his distinctive blend of R&B, soul, and pop, Dionela has gained a wide following through songs such as “Sining,” “Marilag,” and “Musika,” contributing to the growing popularity of contemporary Filipino music among audiences in the Philippines and abroad.

The Embassy welcomed the opportunity to receive Dionela at Sentro Rizal Singapore and wished him and his fellow artists a successful performance as they continue to bring Filipino music, talent, and artistry closer to audiences in Singapore.
