SINGAPORE 18 July 2024 – The Philippine Embassy in Singapore congratulates Filipino ensemble group Iskollas who bagged the Championship title at the International Category of the A Cappella Championship 2024 held at the Shaw Foundation Alumni House on 13 July 2024.
The group’s soprano, Toni Boctoy, also won the award for Outstanding Soloist. The event was organized by The A Cappella Society, Singapore’s premier a cappella center.
DCM Fernandez, together with Cultural Officer Ms. Rosellie Bantay, welcomed the group during the latter’s courtesy call at the Philippine Embassy on 11 July 2024.
While attending the ASEF Governors’ Meeting in Bali, Indonesia, Philippine Ambassador to Singapore H.E. Medardo Macaraig expressed his delight upon learning about the recent wins of the Philippines. Ambassador Macaraig extends his warm congratulations to our singing group, Iskollas, on their achievements in Singapore. “Filipinos always excel, may it be in talent or in sport. Hard work and perseverance always pay off. May you serve as an inspiration to other Filipinos. Continue to bring honor and pride to our country”, the Ambassador said. (/END)
