In her welcome remarks, Minister and Consul General Joyleen E. Santos commended the Filcom Organizing Committee, led by Ms. Meg Nones-Tongio and Mr. Mark Duma, as well as the committee heads and volunteers, for their tireless dedication and unwavering commitment in bringing the community together through the annual celebration. She also thanked the community leaders, volunteers, and sponsors,  all of whom contributed to the success of the gathering, adding that the spirit of bayanihan reflected the true purpose of the celebration.

Also joining the event was Overseas Workers Welfare Administration (OWWA) Deputy Administrator Jasmine Gapatan, who congratulated and presented tokens to the organizers for the successful staging of the event, and paid tribute to the invaluable contributions of overseas Filipino workers in Singapore.

The day’s stage program featured games inspired by well-known Philippine noontime television shows, including Pera o Kahon and Hep-Hep Hooray, which brought a sense of nostalgia to attendees. Filipino singing talent also took center stage through Tinig ng Kampeon, where overseas Filipino workers competed for the title in a singing competition.

Adding to the festive atmosphere, the celebration recreated the familiar sights and sounds of a Filipino perya, with booths offering games such as beto-beto (color game), coin toss, and other familiar attractions. Attendees also sampled Filipino food from the Food Trek partners, including Lechon Pinoy, Nanay’s Kitchen, Second Serving, Mamitas and Avocadoria.
