Singapore, 29 June 2026 – The Philippine Embassy in Singapore welcomed internationally acclaimed Filipino visual artist Elito “Amangpintor” Circa and Melbourne-based Filipino classical guitarist Bernardo Soler during a courtesy call on Philippine Ambassador to Singapore Medardo G. Macaraig at the Embassy.

A renowned visual artist based in Nueva Ecija, Philippines, Amangpintor is recognized internationally as a pioneer of “Indigenouism Art”, an artistic movement that draws inspiration from the country’s indigenous heritage, cultural identity, and traditional knowledge. Through exhibitions, live painting demonstrations, and workshops in the Philippines and overseas, he has actively promoted Philippine arts and culture internationally.

Joining him was Mr. Bernardo Soler, a Melbourne-based Filipino classical guitarist, whose performances highlight the richness of Philippine musical heritage. Through his concerts and cultural engagements, Mr. Soler continues to promote Filipino music, particularly the timeless tradition of the kundiman, to diverse audiences.

The courtesy call formed part of the artists’ visit to Singapore, where Amangpintor will serve as guest visual performer during Mr. Bernardo Soler’s dinner show at Salumeria Singapore on 30 June. While in Singapore, Amang Pintor will also collaborate with local partners for hand-painting demonstrations and Spirit Art Workshops under his Indigenouism Art advocacy for Filipino families in Singapore.

As a gesture of goodwill, Amangpintor presented Ambassador Macaraig with a portrait sketch during the visit and donated one of his acrylic paintings to the Embassy’s new Chancery. The two artists likewise shared their talents with Embassy personnel and guests through a pintawit presentation featuring Filipino kundiman selections performed by Mr. Soler alongside Amang Pintor’s signature live hand-painting demonstration..

The Embassy expressed its appreciation to both artists for their continued efforts in promoting Philippine arts and culture overseas.
