SINGAPORE, 6 May 2026 – The Philippine Embassy in Singapore welcomes Mr. Marc Angelo A.S. Punsalang, Chief of Mission II, as the newly-seconded official of the Philippines to the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) Secretariat based in Singapore, where he will serve as Program Director.

Philippine Ambassador to Singapore Medardo G. Macaraig, along with other Embassy officials received Mr. Punsalang for a courtesy call at the Embassy this morning. A career diplomat of the Department of Foreign Affairs, Mr. Punsalang previously served as Director-General of the Philippine APEC National Secretariat.

The Embassy also formally welcomes Second Secretary and Consul Atty. Teddy Edmund T. Pavon, who recently served as APEC Program Director from the Philippines, and now joins the Philippine Embassy team. 

The Philippines has been an active member of APEC since its founding in 1989, using the forum to advance trade, investment, and inclusive growth. /END
