SINGAPORE, 23 July 2025 – On 21 July 2025, Philippine Embassy Chargé d’Affaires (CDA) Joyleen E. Santos welcomed the Philippine delegation attending the ASEAN Defense Ministers Meeting (ADMM) Cybersecurity and Information Center of Excellence (ACICE)-related meetings in Singapore.
The Philippine delegation is in Singapore from 21 to 24 July to participate in the 3rd ASEAN Roundtable, 3rd Digital Defense Symposium, and the ACICE Advisory Board Meeting.
The Philippine delegation consisted of officials from the Department of National Defense (DND), led by Atty. Odessa Rossilyz Magisa, Officer-in-Charge of the newly-created Office for DND Information Security (ODIS). The other members of the delegation are Director Christine June P. Cariño of the Office for Cyber and Information System Management (OCISM); LCDR Roselyn P. Gonzales, PN, of the Office of the Assistant Chief of Naval Staff for C4ISR Systems; and ENS Kristianne SJ Otiong, PN, of the Cybersecurity Group, Naval Information and Communications Technology Center.
During the call, Embassy and DND officials exchanged views on the evolving global cybersecurity landscape, the Philippines’ bilateral and regional efforts to bolster cyber resilience, and current defense priorities in cyberspace. Atty. Magisa, who also serves as the Head Executive Assistant to the Philippine Defense Secretary, also outlined the delegation’s objectives for the country’s active engagement in ACICE and its affiliated initiatives in Singapore.
CDA Santos was joined in the call by Second Secretary and Consul Jhullie Anne A. Beniahan, Head of Political and Economic Section, and the Philippine Defense and Armed Forces Attaché to Singapore, Col. Egberto O. Dacoscos, PA (GSC). /END
