SINGAPORE, 15 October 2025 – The Philippines once again puts the Philippines to the fore at the Internationale Tourismus Börse (ITB) Asia 2025, Asia’s leading travel trade show, being held from 15 to 17 October 2025 at the Sands Expo and Convention Centre, Marina Bay Sands, Singapore.
Philippine Ambassador to Singapore H.E. Medardo G. Macaraig joined the opening ceremony where Singapore Minister of State Mr. Alvin Tan was guest of honor. He thereafter visited the Philippine booth and joined the Philippine delegation, led by the Tourism Promotions Board (TPB) Philippines, together with over 20 Department of Tourism (DOT)-accredited enterprises from the country’s travel and hospitality sectors. The Philippine delegation is set to promote the country’s diverse offerings across leisure, adventure, MICE, culture, wellness, and sustainable tourism.
During the event, Ambassador Macaraig formally turned over to TPB Head of Corporate Planning and Business Development Ms. Marivic M. Salvador the “Best Dive Destination (Asia)” plaque recently awarded to the Philippines at the Travel Weekly Asia Readers’ Choice Awards 2025 held on 7 October 2025 at the Paradox Singapore Merchant Court. The award marks the country’s third consecutive award, and underscores its continued recognition as a premier dive destination in Asia.
The Philippine booth features the DOT’s “Love the Philippines” branding, inviting travelers to explore the country’s world-class dive sites, pristine beaches, and rich cultural heritage. The 171-square-meter pavilion, which features a vibrant space for networking and business matching, is located at Hall F of the convention center.
Also participating at ITB Asia 2025 is the Provincial Government of Palawan, which features El Nido as one of the country’s top tourism destinations.
Through ITB Asia 2025, the Philippines aims to generate high-value partnerships and promote sustainable growth across the tourism sector. The Philippine delegation is set to hold a series of business meetings with over 1,250 pre-qualified buyers and 13,000 trade attendees.
An annual event organized by Messe Berlin (Singapore) and supported by the Singapore Exhibition and Convention Bureau, ITB Asia remains the region’s foremost platform for business-to-business networking across the MICE, leisure, and corporate travel sectors.
