MANILA 17 June 2026 – The Philippines welcomes the “peace deal” reached between the US and Iran following mediation efforts by Pakistan and other regional actors.

We commend the constructive role played by Pakistan, Qatar, Egypt, Saudi Arabia, Turkiye, and other partners in advancing dialogue and promoting a peaceful resolution of the conflict 

The conflict has exacted economic and humanitarian toll, resulting in the loss of lives and damage to civilian infrastructure and disruptions to the global economy. We hope that this agreement will finally lead to the permanent cessation of hostilities and contribute to a just and durable peace. END
