SINGAPORE, 1 July 2025– The Philippine Embassy in Singapore congratulates Ambassador Medardo G. Macaraig and six (6) other personnel, who were conferred with Loyalty Awards at the Department-level awarding ceremony held this afternoon at the Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA), Pasay City, Philippines.

The awarding ceremony was held during the 127th founding anniversary celebration of the DFA.

The Embassy personnel who were recognized for their dedication to and length of service in the Department are as follows: 

1. H.E. Medardo G. Macaraig – 30 years in service; 
2. First Secretary and Consul Joyleen E. Santos – 20 years in service; 
3. Mr. Edrolan S. Mesina – 15 years in service; 
4. Ms. Ma. Mila V. Alora – 15 years in service; 
5. Ms. Catherine E. Castillo – 10 years in service; 
6. Mr. Joshua M. Villanueva – 10 years in service; and 
7. Ms. Jossa C. Cabacoy (Local Hire) – 10 years in service. 

The Philippine Embassy also congratulates Honorable Ma. Theresa P. Lazaro on her assumption as the new Philippine Secretary of Foreign Affairs effective today, and expresses appreciation for the leadership by her predecessor, Hon. Enrique A. Manalo.

During her oath taking at Malacañan Palace, President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. also conferred Secretary Lazaro with Order of Sikatuna, with the rank of Grand Cross (Datu), Gold Distinction, for her extraordinary service to Philippine diplomacy and international relations. (END).
