Our friendship and bond with Singapore and other ASEAN brothers and sisters run deep.  We remain committed to strengthening Philippines-Singapore bilateral relations as well as our regional and multilateral engagements.

On Friday, 13 March, Philippine Ambassador to Singapore Medardo G. Macaraig attended the Annual Diplomatic Reception hosted by Singapore President Tharman Shanmugaratnam held at the National Gallery of Singapore.

During the event, Ambassador Macaraig engaged with President Tharman, Prime Minister Lawrence Wong, Senior Minister Lee Hsien Loong and Foreign Minister Vivian Balakrishnan, where he took the opportunity to reiterate the Philippines’ appreciation to the Singapore Government for allocating seats to 24 Filipino repatriates in the Singapore-chartered flight from Saudi Arabia to Singapore. 

This year, the Philippines and Singapore celebrate 57 years of long-standing relations. We look forward to working hand-in-hand with Singapore in furthering our cooperation on mutually beneficial areas including trade and investment, security and defense, green economy, culture and people-to-people.
