SINGAPORE, 23 July 2026 – The Technical Education and Skills Development Authority (TESDA), in coordination with the Migrant Workers Office-Singapore, successfully conducted two (2) batches of 2026 Overseas Assessment Program in Singapore from 5 to 7 July 2026 and from 18 to 21 July 2026, held simultaneously at the Care Academy and Aims Learning International.

A total of 228 Filipino healthcare practitioners participated in the program, undergoing competency assessments for Caregiving NC II, Caregiving (Elderly) NC II and Health Care Services NC II.

The Overseas Assessment Program of TESDA enables Overseas Filipino Workers (OFWs) to obtain national certification without the need to return to the Philippines. According to TESDA, this initiative allows qualified OFWs to have their occupational skills formally assessed while remaining in Singapore, thereby strengthening their professional credentials.

Successful candidates may receive TESDA certifications that can enhance their qualifications, improve employment prospects, and support higher earning potential. These credentials also prepare workers for future job or livelihood opportunities upon their return to the Philippines.

This initiative forms part of the Philippine government’s continuing effort to make skills assessment and certification services more accessible to Filipinos working abroad, ensuring that their expertise is recognized and valued globally.
