Philippine Embassy Marks Filipino Food Month with Culinary and Cultural Showcase in Singapore
The Philippine Embassy in Singapore marked Filipino Food Month (Buwan ng Kalutong Pilipino) with an evening celebration at Feast Asia, the flagship restaurant of Grand Mercure Singapore Roxy on 09 April. Coinciding with Araw ng Kagitingan (Day of Valor), the event brought together members of the diplomatic corps, cultural partners, members of the Filipino community, and friends of the Philippines for a festive showcase of Filipino cuisine and culture.
Now in its third consecutive year, the Embassy’s collaboration with the hotel continues to highlight the richness and diversity of Filipino culinary traditions, as well as the deep culinary interconnections shared across ASEAN. For this year’s celebration, Feast Asia transformed its interiors into a festive Filipino setting, with colorful décor and a nostalgic sari-sari store-inspired installation that served as a centerpiece of the evening.
