PRESS RELEASE | PR-221-2025
SINGAPORE, 1 September 2025 – The Philippine Embassy joins the nation in the observance of the Maritime and Archipelagic Nation Awareness Month (MANA Mo) this September, pursuant to Presidential Proclamation 316, signed on 14 September 2017.
To mark the start of the month-long commemoration of Mana Mo 2025, personnel of the Philippine Embassy, wearing blue in solidarity, gathered for a flag-raising ceremony led by Ambassador Medardo G. Macaraig. Commemorative messages from President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. and Foreign Affairs Secretary Ma. Theresa P. Lazaro were also shared during the event.
MANA Mo is an annual celebration established to foster deeper appreciation of the nation’s maritime heritage and recognize the country’s vital role as an archipelagic nation.
This year’s theme, “Nagkakaisang Kapuluan, Panatag na Karagatan”, highlights the importance of unity and pride in preserving our maritime heritage.
As Filipino #SEAtizens, let us work together to achieve a sustainable and secure ocean economy. In the face of maritime challenges, Filipinos hold the responsibility to care for our resources for the benefit of present and future generations.
