PH Embassy, Artdialogo Asia Collaborate on National Heritage Month Art Tutorials

Posted on Wednesday, 27 May 2020

26 May 2020 – In celebration of National Heritage Month, the Philippine Embassy in Singapore collaborated with Artdialogo Asia in coming up with a three-part series of art tutorials for kids entitled “Siningkwela.”

These art tutorials make it easy for kids, together with their parents/guardians, to do arts and crafts projects related to Philippine national heritage using materials already available in their homes. These instructional videos make it possible for children to be creative and learn more about their culture and heritage, while staying safe at home during this lockdown period.

The art tutorials featured Philippine Eagle paper collage, Sarimanok-inspired reminder notepad, and Filipiniana-themed paper dolls, which were uploaded on the official Facebook pages of the Philippine Embassy and Artdialogo Asia on 17, 22 and 26 May 2020, respectively.

The videos can also be accessed through Artdialogo Asia’s official Youtube channel, https://www.youtube.com/channel/UC07V_eID2ZWEdzKq5VSvtUQ/featured. The videos can also be viewed and shared through the following links:

Artdialogo Asia is a Kuala Lumpur-based non-profit organization founded by Filipina artist and entrepreneur Anna Karina Jardin that aims to promote art and cross-cultural dialogue and understanding. Artdialogo Asia participated in and designed the poster of last year’s Art Trek 13, which is the centerpiece of the cultural diplomacy program of the Philippine Embassy in Singapore. END
