Ambassador Joseph Del Mar Yap graced the Recognition Night of the Happy Family School of Excellence, the first Filipino-run school in Singapore, on 22 April 2018 at the Orchid Club Road Singapore.

The Happy Family School of Excellence (HFSE) was founded by Ninalyn Sulit Cacananta in 2015. It is now duly registered with the Committee on Private Education School Registration in Singapore.  The school started in November 2015 with a homeschool set up by a group of Filipinos whose children were unable to enter the local schools. It has now expanded into a full swing government-accredited learning institution.

The event, according to Ms. Cacananta, is a night of appreciation to all those who supported the accreditation of the school.
