Senior Minister for State for Defence and Foreign Affairs Invites Philippine Ambassador to Hari Raya Open House

The Philippine Ambassador to Singapore Antonio A. Morales was warmly welcomed by Dr. Mohamad Maliki Bin Osman at the latter’s Hari Raya Open House on Sunday, 9 July 2017. Dr. Maliki is the Senior Minister of State for Defence and Foreign Affairs and Mayor of South East CDC.

Under the leadership of Ambassador Morales, the Philippine Embassy is very active in supporting initiatives that are aimed at promoting harmony among the various religious faiths. Ambassador Morales hosted an Iftar (breaking of the fast) at his official residence on 20 June 2017, which was attended by the High Commissioner of Brunei Darussalam; diplomats from Bangladesh, Indonesia and Malaysia; representatives of Darul Arqam (Muslim Converts Association, which include some Filipinos), the Maranao group and also the general Filipino community in Singapore. Embassy officials also regularly attend activities organized by the Inter Religious Organization (IRO) and the Muslim Converts Association of Singapore.
