OWWA Membership


The Overseas Workers Welfare Administration (OWWA) is a national government agency vested with the special function of developing and implementing welfare programs and services that respond to the needs of its member-OFWs and their families.

OWWA provides social benefits as well as education and training, workers welfare, repatriation and reintegration assistance to member-OFWs and/or their dependents.

VALIDITY OF MEMBERSHIP 

OWWA membership is valid for two (2) years from the date of payment even if the member changed employer or job site. Membership can also be renewed upon renewal of the contract with an employer.

REQUIREMENTS FOR ENROLMENT/RENEWAL

An OFW in Singapore may enroll in, or renew his/her OWWA membership at the Philippine Overseas Labor Office of the Philippine Embassy (Singapore).

There is no appointment needed for OWWA membership enrolment/renewal. An OFW may come to the Embassy and present/submit the following documents:

  1. OFW Information Sheet. Please click here to download the form;
  2. One photocopy of valid passport (original to be presented);
  3. One photocopy of valid work pass such as Work Permit, S-Pass or E-Pass (original to be presented;
  4. Employment contract or any proof of employment such as a certificate of employment, pay slip or of company ID (to be presented);
  5. UEN/RCB/Company Registration Number (for professional and skilled workers only);
  6. One photocopy of employer’s IC (for domestic workers only);
  7. Payment of SG$36.00 (cash basis only)

OWWA MEMBERSHIP PROCESSING

OWWA membership processing is done at the Embassy’s Window 1A&B from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, Monday to Friday, except holidays. It can be immediately processed upon submission of all the documentary requirements and payment of membership fee.
