Temporary Visitors Visa / Transit Visa

Basic Requirements

  • Personal appearance of the applicant
  • Duly accomplished visa application form
  • One (1) recent photograph with white or light-colored background
  • Copy of proof of residence in Singapore (Employment Pass, Work Permit, PR card, Student Pass, Dependant’s Pass, or Long Term Pass)
  • Additional documentation may be required upon the discretion of the visa officer
  • Cash payment for application processing (refer to consular fees)
  • Round-trip or onward airline booking or itinerary of travel to other country of destination issued by an authorized travel agency (airline tickets not required)

Additional Requirements

Temporary Visitors Visa (Tourist)

  • Applicant’s national passport, valid for at least six (6) months or more from date of departure from the Philippines or completion of trip
  • Round-trip or onward airline booking or itinerary of travel to other country of destination issued by an authorized travel agency (airline tickets not required)
  • Proof of sufficient funds for travel expenses, accommodation and subsistence, such as bank statement, bank book, certificate of deposits and investments, etc. or notarized letter of guarantee from applicant’s host or sponsor in the Philippines

Temporary Visitors Visa (Business)

  • Applicant’s national passport valid for at least six (6) months or more from date of arrival in Philippines
  • Letter from company/employer stating applicant’s complete name, position, nature of business trip and guarantee of repatriation and financial support for the duration of trip
  • Letter of invitation from the company in the Philippines

For Transit Visa

  • Applicant’s national passport valid for at least six (6) months or more from date of departure from the Philippines or completion of trip
  • Proof of sufficient funds for travel expenses, accommodation, and subsistence, if required by interviewing officer

For Persons Travelling to the Philippines for Documentary Filming

  • Copy of request letter sent to the International Press Center, Presidential Communications Operations Office, stating their intention to do a documentary film in the country and requesting for the accreditation of their crew
  • List of equipment to be brought to the Philippines
  • List of production crew members and their respective designations
  • Itinerary and flight details of the filming crew
  • Synopsis/storyline of the documentary to be filmed
  • Photocopy of passport information page’s

The visa application and supporting documents will be transmitted to the Department of Foreign Affairs for approval by the relevant agencies.  The Embassy will issue the visa upon receipt of the visa authority from the DFA, which takes approximately three (3) to four (4) weeks.

Upon arrival in the Philippines, the crewmembers have to proceed to the international Press Center for their accreditation.  If they have a local coordinator, he or she may also coordinate with the IPC in advance.  The crewmembers  are also expected to apply for a Special Work Permit (SWP) at the Bureau of Immigration and Deportation.

For News Reporters/TV Crew/Photographers

  • Copy of letter of endorsement from the agency they represent (original to be submitted to the International Press Center, Presidential Communications Office, or IPC-PCOO)
  • Copy of certification from applicant’s Embassy in the Philippines (original to be submitted to IPC-PCOO)
  • List of equipment to be brought to the Philippines
  • Photocopy of passport information page/s
  • Itinerary and contact person in the Philippines
  • Curriculum vitae

Upon arrival, they will have to present themselves at the IPC-PCOO for accreditation.
