Entry Visa for Qualified Foreigners

The Philippine Embassy informs the public that effective 20 March 2020 and until further notice, it is temporarily suspending  all visa issuances. Visa-free privileges, including those pursuant to visa waiver agreements entered into by the Philippines with certain countries, are also temporarily suspended.

All visa applicants are required to make a prior appointment via email. This will enable the Embassy to advise if the applicant is eligible to be granted a Philippine visa.

Send your request, together with the application form and the documentary requirements to and indicate “Application for PH Visa” as the subject.

Please note that no refund of visa application fee will be made if the visa application is denied or if the visa is approved after the applicant’s scheduled departure date.

Mandatory Requirements:

  1. Personal appearance of the applicant
  2. Accomplished visa application form
  3. Electronic and machine-readable passport with at least six months validity after the date of departure to the Philippines

Non-machine-readable passports or hand-scripted passports will not be accepted for visa application. Please note that foreign nationals who are not in possession of electronic or machine-readable passports will not be allowed entry into Philippine airports and seaports.

  1. Photocopy of passport information page
  2. Recent coloured photograph, size 3.5 cm x 4.5 cm, taken against a white background
  3. Photocopy of Singapore-issued Identification Card, such as any of the following: Permanent Resident Identification Card, Personalized Employment Pass, EntrePass, Employment Pass, S Pass, Work Permit, Student Pass, Dependant’s Pass. Long Term Visit Pass holders are not eligible to apply for a visa.
  4. Proof of sufficient funds for travel expenses, accommodation and subsistence, such as:
    • Printed bank statements for the three (3) consecutive months preceding the date of visa application
    • The bank account should have enough funds to support the applicant’s intended period of stay in the Philippines (i.e. S$200 per day).
  5. CASH payment of visa fee (view here); The Embassy does not accept credit or debit cards, NETS or cheque payments.
  6. Additional documentary requirements, as deemed necessary by the Visa Officer

Additional Requirements for Sponsored Applicants:

If sponsored by a friend or family in the Philippines, the following shall be required:

  1. Invitation letter from the sponsor; The letter should indicate the sponsor’s full commitment to support the applicant.
  2. Sponsor’s passport if he/she is a Filipino citizen; if the sponsor is non-Filipino, proof of residency shall be required
  3. Sponsor’s bank statement for the last three months preceding the visa application. The amount required may vary as deemed necessary by the Visa Officer.

Sponsorship by non-resident, non-Filipino nationals may only be considered if the sponsor will be travelling with the applicant.

Unaccompanied Travel of Minors

If the traveler is less than 15 years old and will not be accompanied by either parent, he/she must apply for a  Waiver of Exclusion Ground (WEG). Travelers who fall under this category who do not possess the WEG may be denied entry into the Philippines, even if they are accompanied by an adult other than their parent.

Conditions for denial of visa or refusal of service:

The Embassy has the sole discretion to deny the visa or to refuse service to any individual.
